1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how AutoQAI ("the Software") handles information in relation to its users. It applies to the AutoQAI MCP server (@autoqai/mcp), the AutoQAI browser extension, and any associated interfaces.
AutoQAI is developed and maintained by Shridhar T L ("the Developer"). Because AutoQAI does not operate any servers and collects nothing, this policy describes how the Software behaves on your own device rather than how a remote service handles your data.
If this policy is updated at any time, the revised version will be published at the same location with an updated Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Software after any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

2. Our Core Commitment
We do not collect, transmit, store, share, or sell any of your data — ever.
No information you interact with while using AutoQAI leaves your device through the Software. Nothing is sent to the Developer's servers — there are none. The Software operates entirely within your local environment.

3. Local-Only Communication
The MCP server and the browser extension talk to each other over a loopback WebSocket bound to 127.0.0.1 and protected by a pairing token. Connections from any non-loopback address are rejected at connect time. No data is transmitted to AutoQAI servers, because none exist.

4. What Is Stored, and Where
All AutoQAI data lives on your own machine, under your control:
- Project configuration, your project context file, the task queue, and every test run (test cases, steps, findings, and screenshots) are written to a local
.autoqaifolder inside your project. - Extension state such as pairings and tab bindings is stored in your browser's local IndexedDB.
You are solely responsible for securing, backing up, and deleting this local data. You may remove it at any time through your file system or your browser's storage settings.

5. Your Authenticated Session
AutoQAI drives the browser tab you have already opened and signed into. It does not collect, store, or transmit your credentials, cookies, or session tokens; those remain in your browser exactly as they were.

6. Data You Choose to Capture
AutoQAI acts only on the pages, elements, and systems you direct it to. If you point it at a page that contains personal, confidential, or regulated information, that information may be written into your local screenshots, snapshots, or findings.
You are solely responsible for what you direct the Software to capture, and for handling that information in compliance with all applicable laws. The Developer has no visibility into, access to, or control over the data you capture.

7. Integrations and Third-Party Services
When you configure an integration such as Jira, requests are proxied through your own authenticated browser session. AutoQAI never sees or stores integration credentials. Any data exchanged with a third-party service you connect — or with any AI agent you use alongside AutoQAI — is governed by that service's own privacy policy and terms, not this one. The Developer is not responsible for any third party.

8. Analytics and Tracking
AutoQAI does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or telemetry. No usage data, feature-interaction data, or any other telemetry is collected or transmitted.

9. Data Sharing and Sale
The Developer does not share, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose any user data to any third party — because no user data is collected in the first place. This applies now and in the future, unconditionally.

10. Children's Privacy
AutoQAI is a developer tool and is not directed to children. The Developer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

11. Security
Because no user data is transmitted to or stored by the Developer, there is no server-side data to secure. All your data remains in your own environment, protected by your operating system's and browser's own security models. You are responsible for the security of the device and accounts on which you run the Software.

12. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be published at the same location with an updated Effective Date at the top of the document. The Developer will not send active notifications for policy updates; users are encouraged to review this document periodically. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. No Warranty
This policy describes the intended behaviour of the Software and is provided for information only; it is not a warranty or guarantee. The Software is provided "as is" as set out in the License Agreement, and the Developer is not liable for any loss, disclosure, or misuse of data arising from your use or misuse of the Software.
