Type-Vantage Privacy Policy

Type-Vantage is a touch-typing tutor available on the web, as a desktop app, and as a mobile app. This policy explains what Type-Vantage does — and does not — do with your data.
The short version
Type-Vantage is built to run entirely on your own device. There are no accounts, no logins, and no servers collecting your practice. We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data, because we never collect it in the first place.
What we store
All of your progress is stored locally on your device:
- Learner profiles, avatars, and names you create
- Lesson progress, stars, streaks, and best WPM and accuracy scores
- Settings such as theme, sound, keyboard layout, and age-group preferences
On the web this lives in your browser's on-device storage (IndexedDB). In the desktop and mobile apps it lives in the app's private on-device storage. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes it.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or contact details.
- We do not transmit your keystrokes, progress, or profiles to any server.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
Children's privacy
Type-Vantage is family-friendly and designed for learners as young as five. Because it runs locally and collects no personal information, there is nothing to gather from a child using the app. We encourage parents and teachers to learn alongside younger typists.
Analytics
If any anonymous, aggregate usage analytics are ever enabled (for example, to understand which lessons are most practised), they will be strictly non-identifying and will never include personal information or anything you type. This policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.
